The weirdest thing happened. I installed Vista Beta 2. It works great. All my drivers work great too, sound printer etc. However I can't get my MICROSOFT keyboard and mouse to be functional since there is no intellitype/point for vista not even a beta version.
How are we supposed to test a product when the manufacturer doesn't support or provide updates for hi/her own hardware.
MICROSOFT!!! WAKE UP!! GOOGLE WOULD NEVER BLUNDER LIKE THIS.

Sure, my keyboard and mouse "work", however I'd like my middle mouse button to work, as well as all the nice buttons on my wireless natural multimedia keyboard... Someone mentioned the 5.2 versions worked for them, but I haven't tried them - what's the status of the 6.0 Universal versions being released? All I see is mention of macs.

Sure, the keyboard and mouse "works", but I think I'd like my middle mouse button and the other function buttons on my wireless natural keyboard to work, which does require intellipoint and intellitype. What's the status of the 6.0 Universal versions bantered around on the site? All I see is downloads for the mac?

I agree...this is their hardware and software...I didn't buy a wireless mouse with ll the buttons so I could use it like any generic mouse.

I thought the same thing, it's stupid for MICROSOFT to not have a beta intellipoint/intellitype program READY for this Vista beta... Seems like the right arm/left arm thing yet again at MS

And if Microsoft did have drivers/software ready, you would be jumping on the company for supposedly having some sort of *advantage* over other hardware vendors (or even accuse them of back-dooring the code to their peripheral group).
Microsoft simply *cannot* win in the eyes of some folks.
